Clean and Funny

Logo, this was awesome. One of the most original and humorous submissions I've seen lately. I'm usually not into fart jokes, but you somehow pulled it off. That Vcam thing sounds awesome - it's always a bitch to tween every object in the scene for a single camera movement. The commentary was pure class, especially "...and the teeth ... whatever, man!" Christ that was funny. Man, and to think I almost forgot how cool you are. Good luck with the awards, bro.

[Giant Enemy Crab Battle]

Outstanding

I absolutely loved this animation! Spectacular frame-by-frame and hilarious graphics (the two thumbs up especially). This is one of the most stylish works I've seen in a long time, and I hope this hits frontpage, Daily Top 5 or not. Great soundtrack - it fit the scenes well and gave a boost of spice to your movie. Commendable effort!

Needs A LOT of work.

The first couple of seconds were done rather nicely. However, after that, it was just a bunch of unnecessary scenes of mario running around. The spritework was below average. The run/walk was choppy, but the jumping was the worst. Take your time when you animate - spriting is easy enough as it is. If this is your first sprite movie, then you did a decent job. Try looking at more tutorials to get a better sense of what's good and how to make your movies good. You'll get there, but as of now, you've got a lot to learn.

I seriously enjoyed that. The style was extremely unique. It was funny, well animated, and unbelieveable all at the same time. I mean, we all have those bad days, but nothing as depressing as this! Very nice job.

I'm going to have to agree with Blordow. You did an amazing job animating the sprites and a fantastic job with the spiffy menus and replay buttons. However, the humor was severely lacking in terms of originality. The hidden block was enjoyable - I use to hate those things when I played that game. But we've all seen Mario experiencing pipe problems and flag pole faults. If you're going to make a Mario parody today, originality is the only thing that will keep your flash from beating the others. You have the animation down, now let's see some good jokes. Good luck in the future (I hate to be so hard on you - you're one of my favorite little dudes), and keep at it!

Thanks for your sommentary, Bigfoot. I too agree with Blordow; the movie just plain sucked, and the humor was poor. As for originality, I actually tried making it more original, but I guess the choices I picked weren't very original at all. Anyway, thanks again.

Great

Somehow, I knew you'd stick true to your Mario sprites. You did a fantastic job on this one, Monk. It had everything a good flash needs - humor, thrill, nice animation, and a funny story. I loved the shadowing throughout the whole movie, and having Mario in there was the icing on the cake. Awesome work man, and good luck in the Daily Top 5.

Decent Parody

Wow, I remember playing Red and Blue so long ago. This was pretty amusing (especially "oldie mcfuck fuck"). You animated the sprites nicely too, which evoked a sense of nostalgia. The largest problem I had - some of the voices were so loud (Ash's in particular), that they'd cause that scratchy static noise. In order to get rid of it, just lower the volume a bit when you edit the sound in flash. I hope you'll be making a part two.

One of the best Underdogs that I've seen in awhile, possibly ever. I loved the moral and storyline, and you portrayed your message with excellence. The graphics were no better than average, but the simple style added something special to the mood of your flash. Congrats on the award!

Good

Impressive graphics and decent animation. The humor was hit and miss. I disliked the excessive "WTFLOL" phrases. Anyone can spurt out lines like those - I prefer more creative styles of humor. The voice acting for Billy was done well, but the older brother's voice seemed very nasal and borderline annoying. Still, you did well. I enjoyed this and congrats on a Daily 2nd!
