Daily feature? More like...daily thiccture!

So good Dave. Thanks again for the art and storytelling wizardry :D

Very good animation with some interesting shots involving perspective.

thanks mate!! Really thanks

Well this was good. Loved the animation style and the battle sequence.

Great little animation. Loved the facial expressions of the witch, and quite the splash of humor at the end!

Joe-Mega responds:

Lol thanks!

I never expect much from "test" submissions, but both of these were exceptional. The animation details were particularly good in regards to each character's interactions with others and with their environment.

Still great after all these years.

As a New Yorker, the premise was quite relatable. Hey, at least that subway train was pretty empty! But in all seriousness, the classic animation style was beautiful and professional in standard. Well done.

JestersAnimation responds:

Thanks so much!!

Again, your incorporation of multimedia into a horror-themed movie was excellent. Again, there were some interesting, dynamic camera angles that caught my attention. Again, I was left wanting more. The first-person shot of the would-be robber walking along the side of the house was exquisite. In fact, it was so exquisite that I'm paused on 0:23 marveling at the contrast of the lens, the sharpness of the hedge's leaves and the blades of grass, the jagged white light atop the wooden fence, and the ominous shadow of the rocking chair in the distance. Considering the prior scene of the robber's blood-shot eyeball, the viewer can clearly sense the robber's fear as he prepares to break in. Fantastic.

Thanks Bigfoot, I shot this with a webcam and I think it helped put the viewer inside the miniature scene a little bit better than a DSLR does although you loose image quality. I made this years ago but I remade the soundtrack recently and made a few tweaks.

This was VERY cool. I remember watching some of your other works like "FLESH WORMS" and this is such an awesome application of stop-motion animation. Some of the camera angles were exceptional, particularly because stop-motion animations tend to have very few first-person shots. There was great attention to lighting, doodads, and general cinematography throughout, which helped to create one of the most dynamic stop-motion animations I've seen on Newgrounds. Loved the artistic touches on the fleshy Insectoids, juxtaposed against the gritty badlands feel of the cars, trucks, and other man-made structures. I was left itching for more, as it were. Well done!

jellyeyes responds:

Thanks so much Bigfoot, I hope to expand on 'flesh Worms' and this videos ideas, I would need to get someone on board to write a script for starters. I was thinking some sort of 80s action/horror throwback type thing.

Animation is great for so many reasons...whether you're looking to reconnect with your past, to express an opinion, dream, or thought, or to just make people laugh :)
