Excellence

This was a very polished work of art. I loved the style of tweening mixed with FBF, it really brought the piece to life. The best part of this flash is definitely the story. It's very touching and deep, and it really deserved a great flash like this. Excellent job man.

i really like your style man. the zany drawings and the upbeat music was very entertaining. i also liked the fast animations and just the whole feel of it. great stuff man.

[Paper Mario: Breakdance]

Good, but nothing really sticks out.

For this type of breakdancing animation, it probably would've been a better idea to use FBF instead of tweening. Your tweening wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good either and it was a little too slow. But hey, FBF takes about 5 times the effort and I'm a lazy guy, so I understand if it was just a matter of laziness. The music choices were pretty nice with the funk/hip hop thing goin on. It gave a nice feel and it flowed nicely. Overall, it was an average job for a flash. Next time, try some drawings of your own and maybe even some frame by frame if you're up to it. Keep at it man :)

i know the thing about the speed, got messed when i sent it. You got me pegged on the lazy part though, lol. About the drawings though, i did 3/4s of bowser and 1/2 of mario (harder then it looks to draw his head). and about the motion tweening, i tried it early on, its VERY hard to make a paper mario animation look natural with it, so i stuck with tweens.

Good Stuff

this was a very nice claymation man. the fire effects were spectacular and the animation was very smooth. it was action-packed and graphically pleasing, so i'll give you a nine. great job man :)

with all that fbf, this must've taken about a year to complete. the end result is brilliant man. it is the best example of stick fighting i've ever seen. great job

Even though i completely despise Numa Numa...

...that was awesome. Dustball, you really do have a ton of talent and i enjoy all of your work on flash. Your drawings were very nice and all the "american idles" looked just as they do on tv. The voice acting was very good, although Paula sounded a little fake lol. Still, it was very funny and well animated. Great job man :D

Decent

I nearly gave this a 1, but i gave it a 2 instead. I dont think it deserves to be blammed, but the pacing was absolutely disturbing. The film itself should have been half its current length. I thought the ending was very nice, but everything else was always several seconds too long and it kind've took away from the whole scarey thing. Still it was a decent job, and your graphics werent that bad, but i woulda gave this a 3 if the pacing was more appropriate.

Instant Classic

Amazing work on this man. It must have taken you an assload of time, but it was well worth it. I really enjoyed this flash because it mixed excellent quality with humor and a very nice plot. Like others said, this could easily be something that cartoon network (or something of the like) would air. The sound (mainly voices) could have been a little more clear, but it didn't effect the experience at all. Oh, and I thought the little puppet adam at the end was funny as hell. Awesome job!

The Talent is Overwhelming...

this has to be one of the best examples of FBF animation i've ever seen. this is mainly because of your amazing attention to detail and awesome ability to be able to put your imagination right into flash (artisticly and style-wise). there are a couple things that i would like to point out - 1) like some of the other reviewers said, the fight scenes could be double the speed of the rest of the flash. i think that would be an extremely cool effect, to see your two guys there then all of a sudden when one swings a knife or something, the fps doubles, then slows again on impact. seriously man that would be awesome! still, your artwork more than makes up for that tiny aspect and i enjoyed every little tree trunk and blade of grass you had to offer. 2) the other thing i didn't like was the text and its pacing (also brought up by some of the other commenters). the font was very wacky and tighty bunched. times new roman or arial would do the job much better. the sentences also went away too fast. leave them up there for another 2 or 3 seconds and it will be perfect.

all in all, this is a great flash and you should be very proud of it. im sure it took a lot of effort, determination, and cups of coffee to get through it, but in the end, it was well worth the effort. brilliant stuff man. great job :)

i find this review very gratifying and i cant thank you enough for it. just like the previous comments, i have consider all the issues and will be striving to improve upon. i just hope to eventually make it on frontpage, but it will take 5 times the amount of coffe and sleep deprived nights...possibly my sanity too...to do so :D

Crazy Good

dude this is the best thing since Mario Mishaps. seriously, i have no idea why your score is just over a 2. in my opinion this is at least 3.2 material, and trust me i kno what i'm talking about cuz i've made a decent mario parady of my own. alrite here's what i think :

graphics : your sprite animations were done very well and i loved how the scenes were and camera movements were exactly like the game's. also, nice lil custom stuff here and there and the barf/fart stuff was pretty well drawn.

sound/humor : very funny. the way you timed the punchlines and fx were near perfect. a good part was when mario got to 6-4 and peaked in and saw toad waiting there. "FUCK!" hahah. i think the best was when mario got gas in underground place and you saw all those goombas and shit flying outta the pipe hahaa. funny as hell.

violence : nice touches with the pole falling on mario and the gun sounds. but this is a parady so u dont necessarily need too much violence. good job with it tho.

overall : 9/10 (5/5). i definitely hope your score goes up over time. im rootin for you man. great job.
