"Incredibly Passionate"

It is difficult to find such musicianship in the Audio Portal. This composition was peaceful, melancholy, and inspirational all at the same time; it certainly invokes introspection. Gracefully executed and flawless.

You're very good.

Zelda - Water Dream Theme

"Nicely Done"

date: June 6, 2009

Great job on this rendition. There was an accurate portrayal of a waterworld and a dream-like state of mind. I believe there should have been more crescendos and decrescendos to really personify dreams and the ocean - i.e. waves coming in and out, a person being lulled into sleep, etc. Smart choice of instruments, especially the piano and fluttering violins. Overall, you did a fantastic job!

How Goofy!

"Catchy"

I loved this. The more you listen to it, the better it gets. Nice, strong downbeats mixed with 16th notes made for a diverse and exciting track. I thought there could have been a more prominent melody, but the kickass drum/bass makes up for it. Good work!

Mario 64 - Mario's Uber Slide

"Almost"

date: May 25, 2009

I thought the banjo and piano medley worked very well. The tempo was spot on, and the syncopation was accurate. But, I felt like the bass section didn't come through as much as it should have. In turn, there was an emptiness about the song - a sense that it was incomplete.

Hey Mike. Great job on this piece. I what really stood out was the way you built up tension and suspense. It sounded like something straight out of a retro boss battle, or perhaps a level where you're racing against the clock. Nice job man!

Funeral Theme Reworked

"Excellent"

date: April 27, 2008

Strong emotions flow through this piece. Although I didn't listen to the first version, I think you made the right choice to remove most of the drums (yet the bass drum here adds spectacular ambience). I can't really offer much in the way of suggestions, because I think this is what you were aiming for. It has a powerful somber tone, with hints of heroism and honor - just what a funeral theme should emphasize. Great work.

Doom2 - Refueling Base

"Great Remake"

date: July 30, 2007

This is one of my favorite Doom songs, and you've done a spectacular job revamping the melodies. The tempo was right on, and the instruments were well selected. My only complaint is that it wasn't very different from the original. I don't mind very much, since it's a great song to begin with. Good stuff man.

The Siren

"Outstanding"

submission: The Siren

The professionalism is at a level which far surpasses that of the vast majority of audio submissions here. I was skeptical when I read the description, but after listening to it, I'd be surprised if this didn't reach the national radio. Brit pop is about the last genre I'd expect myself to find a piece to enjoy, but this has certainly changed my prespective.

Astounding as always. I really appreciated how crisp and refined this track was, especially for a rave/trance themed song. Keep it up, man. You're clearly one of the best.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you think it's crisp, I just got some new studio monitors. Good to know that they weren't a waste of money!

One of the best? Thanks!!
